How Charles Fredrick Worth changed Fashion.

In the 19th century Fashion was changing and Charles Fredrick Worth, an English fashion designer, was an important part of it. At this time clothing was changing for men’s fashion to be more practical for daily life and women’s fashion was becoming more impractical to show that they were not meant for work. This lead to an influx of more elaborate designs and Worth was ready with Haute Couture for his clients. Haute Couture being something that is truly for the elite, made for the wearer and often near worn again; which at this time was a popular trend. To make this clothing Worth found himself experimenting with fabrics and textures to make visually appealing clothing and he even used sewing machines to accelerate production of elaborate designs. Charles Fredrick Worth today is thought to be the father of Haute Couture and can be credited with revolutionizing the fashion industry.
